Baker's Crust Artisan Kitchen

Baker's Crust was created around the simple idea of serving real, authen-tic food with integrity. For the past 23 years, they have had the distinct reputa-tion of being a local's favorite in Hampton Roads. Recently rebranded as Baker's Crust Artisan Kitchen, their 6 Hampton Roads and Richmond area locations boast a warm and inviting place to casually dine with friends, family, or celebrate a special occasion.

"We are always looking for new, exciting and delicious menu offerings that can satisfy any palette" said John Stein, owner and foodie, which is the reason that every six months, Baker's Crust releases a fresh, seasonal menu boasting innovative twists on everyday food. On the menu for spring & summer, guests can enjoy farm-to-plate salads made with mixed greens, arugula, baby kale, basil, micro-greens, and tatsoi, all sustain-ably grown and sourced locally from John's farm in Suffolk, VA! These greens are higher in nutrients than your everyday grocery store greens; they are pesticide-free and non-GMO. Couple these super healthy, nutrient packed greens with farro (a nutty wheat kernel), roasted butternut squash, dried cherries, toasted pumpkin seeds, smoked almonds, gorgonzola cheese and a persian lime vinai-grette, and you have a delightful bowl of what is called a Harvest Salad, delish!

Real, authentic food with integrity - this is the simple inspiration behind Baker's Crust Burgers. "We grind the beef in-house and form each patty by hand," said John. So much care is given to each burger because it is so well-deserv-ing. All of the burgers are made with Black Angus beef from Silver Fern Farms, a co-op of New Zealand farmers committed to raising animals in their natural environment, free-range and 100% grass-fed. The beef is leaner, more finely textured and nutritionally better for you, and the burgers have a distinct and delicious flavor. The next time you're in town, give the mouth-watering Boozy Bacon BBQ Burger a try: with chipotle gouda cheese, boozy bacon bbq sauce, pickle, tomato tarragon slaw, buttermilk onion rings, and sriracha mayo - it is sure to satisfy!
